FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Joey Logano has already had an early setback in Texas, a week after his championship hopes took a huge hit when he was intentionally wrecked by Matt Kenseth.
Logano had a left tire go down on the backstretch on the 10th lap Sunday. He had heavy damage on the left rear of the No. 22, even though he kept it off the wall after spinning.
After first going to his pit, Logano drove his car to the garage for more repairs.
Logano started the race last among the eight drivers still in contention in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. He had won three consecutive races and was leading at Martinsville a week ago when he was wrecked by Kenseth, payback for an incident in an earlier race.
