CONCORD, N.C. (AP) – DuPont has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement to keep its longtime support of four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon.
DuPont has been with Gordon since his Cup debut in 1992. The company is scaling back its commitment starting next year, when it will be the primary sponsor on Gordon’s car for 14 races.
Pepsi Co., another one of Gordon’s longtime sponsors, is expected to keep its sponsorship of two races. That would fill Gordon’s car with sponsorship for the next several years.
The AARP Foundation announced Wednesday it would sponsor Gordon for 22 races with its “Drive to End Hunger” campaign.
