CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Kasey Kahne will finish this season driving for Red Bull Racing.
The team said Thursday Kahne will drive the No. 83 Toyota for the final five races of the year. The move was made possible when Richard Petty Motorsports released Kahne late Wednesday night.
Kahne is moving to Hendrick Motorsports in 2012, but has signed to drive with Red Bull for one season.
Red Bull general manager Jay Frye says their was a sense of urgency to get Kahne with the team as soon as possible because his tenure will be so short.
