Last week: Kyle Busch raced to his 10th series victory of the year and record 61st overall, leading 195 of 200 laps at Chicagoland. He also won the Truck Series race.
Fast facts: Sam Hornish Jr. leads the standings, 17 points ahead of Dillon. ... The race is the series' sixth and final stand-alone event of the year. ... Truck Series regular Jeb Burton is making his Nationwide debut, driving Turner Scott Motorsports' No. 34 Chevrolet. Truck points leader Matt Crafton and series rivals Dakoda Armstrong, Joey Coulter and Ryan Blaney also are racing. ... Sprint Cup driver Brad Keselowski won the June race at the track.

Last race: Vettel won the Italian Grand Prix on Sept. 8 for his sixth victory of the year.
Fast facts: Vettel, the three-time defending series champion, has a 53-point lead over Ferrari's Fernando Alonso with seven races left. ... Kimi Raikkonen is leaving Lotus after the season to return to Ferrari. The Finn raced for Ferrari from 2007-09, winning the series title in 2007. The move came a day after Felipe Massa announced he was leaving Ferrari after the season. Raikkonen won the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and has five second-place finishes. ... The race is the series' lone night event.

Last year: Antron Brown raced to the fifth of his six 2012 Top Fuel victories en route to the season title. Bob Tasca topped the Funny Car field, Allen Johnson won in Pro Stock, and Michael Ray paced the Pro Stock Motorcycle competition.
Last week: Robert Hight opened the Countdown to the Championship playoffs with his second straight Funny Car victory. Morgan Lucas won in Top Fuel, Jeg Coughlin in Pro Stock and Andrew Hines in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
Fast facts: The event is the second in the six-race Countdown. The top 10 in each class qualified for the playoffs. Matt Hagan tops the Funny Car standings, 82 points ahead of Ron Capps and 86 in front of Hight. Spencer Massey leads in Top Fuel, 24 points ahead of Shawn Langdon. Mike Edwards has the Pro Stock lead, and Hector Arana Jr. tops the Pro Stock Motorcycle field.
