JOLIET, Ill. (AP) – Brad Keselowski has won the Nationwide Series race at Chicagoland Speedway with a dominating run.
It’s the third victory this season for the defending Nationwide champion. It’s also his first win since returning to the series three races ago. He sat out three after he broke an ankle in a crash while testing at Road Atlanta.
The crash occurred four days after Keselowski’s Nationwide win at Indianapolis.
Keselowski beat runner-up Carl Edwards by 8.568 seconds Saturday. Both drivers race Sunday in the opening event in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.
Brian Scott finished third, Aric Almirola was fourth and Sam Hornish Jr. was a career-best fifth.
