LOUDON, N.H. (AP) - IndyCar drivers are taking their first laps around New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
While the circuit has been here before, most of the drivers haven't. This is IndyCar's first stop at New Hampshire since 1998.
Drivers are preparing for Sunday's 225-mile race by sizing up the nuances of the 1-mile oval located about 75-miles north of Boston.
The last three stops on the circuit have been road courses. This is the first oval for IndyCar drivers since they raced in Iowa at the end of June.
New Hampshire is a regular and popular stop in NASCAR, and IndyCar officials are hoping fans take to the open-wheel racing as well.
And drivers should get used to running on unfamiliar tracks. With six races left in the season, three are new.
