CONCORD, N.C. (AP) - Former Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen says an interest in various forms of motorsports lured him to NASCAR.
The Finn will make his NASCAR debut in Friday night's Trucks Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He's driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
Raikkonen says he has no real plans for his NASCAR trial. He briefly mentioned possibly racing in next weekend's Nationwide Series event at Charlotte, but there has been no announcement about his future schedule.
Busch says his team could not field a car for Raikkonen at the Nationwide event next week because the organization is not licensed in that series.
