DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) - A Friday meeting between Juan Pablo Montoya and Ryan Newman to discuss their bumping and banging at Richmond did not go well, and NASCAR officials say they are still discussing the feud with the drivers.
NASCAR asked the drivers to meet at Darlington Raceway to discuss last Saturday's incident. Newman first wrecked Montoya, and Montoya retaliated by intentionally wrecking Newman later in the race.
The meeting was moderated by NASCAR officials, but grew heated and the drivers were unable to come to an agreement.
They next race Saturday night at Darlington.
