TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) A test session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway has delayed the inevitable conversation between teammates Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch.
Edwards bumped Busch out of his way on the last lap at Richmond to score his second consecutive victory. Although Busch said nothing disparaging of his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, he didn’t seem pleased with the move.
Edwards said Friday at Talladega Superspeedway that he spent most of this week at the Goodyear tire test at Indianapolis so he missed the JGR team meeting.
Because teamwork is so important at Talladega, Edwards and Busch will be in the same meetings leading into Sunday’s race.
Said Edwards: ”This weekend will require us to talk together as a group and work well together and I’m sure we’ll have a chance to talk.”
