COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is trying to find his way on the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, and he can't even ask his fellow rookie and girlfriend Danica Patrick for much advice.
The two drivers are on different teams, so technical questions about how to set the car up aren't allowed. Instead the 25-year-old rookie says he and Patrick talk a little bit about how they are driving. But most of the time he watches sports.
Stenhouse was in Columbia on Tuesday promoting the Bojangles 500 next month at Darlington Raceway.
Stenhouse has won the last two Nationwide Series titles. His best finish in his first NASCAR Sprint Cup season is 12th at the season opening Daytona 500. He has led just one lap at Las Vegas.
