NASCAR:
CAR--NASCAR-MOSS' NEW TEAM
DARLINGTON, S.C. - Randy Moss looked entirely at ease moving through the garage area at Darlington Raceway. That's because the star receiver and owner of Randy Moss Motorsports says NASCAR feels like home. ``To be point blank, NASCAR is a country, redneck sport,'' Moss says with a smile. ``And you know, that's where I'm from. That's me. These are my people.'' With his main job on hold - Moss is a free agent and can't strike an NFL deal until the league's labor troubles are resolved - Moss has jumped into his venture as co-owner on the Camping World Truck series in full this season. CAR--F1-SEASON PREVIEW-PIRELLI TIRES
MADRID - Formula One needs more drama and new tire supplier Pirelli plans to provide it. The Italian manufacturer returns to the F1 grid after a 20-year absence to replace Japan's Bridgestone as the sole supplier until the close of 2013. From the outset, F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone and the 11 teams' directives were clear: create a compound that will force two to three pit stops and create tire degradation that will have cars traveling at different speeds and foster more passing. CAR--F1-SEASON PREVIEW-CALENDAR
BANGKOK, Thailand - Last year there was Korea, this year Formula One welcomes India, next year it will be a belated return to the United States, so just when will the seemingly non-stop expansion of the F1 calendar end? With Russia to join in 2014 and each week bringing new reports of F1 ambitions from all four points of the compass, it appears that Bernie Ecclestone's suggestion that the calendar could grow to 25 races may have been more than idle speculation.
