Harvick wins in Phoenix
AVONDALE, AZ (TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick got the win in the AdvoCare 500 on Sunday, but Jimmie Johnson may have had the best outcome.
Harvick was able to pick up the victory thanks to Carl Edwards, who was leading most of the later part of the race, running out of gas on the final laps, giving the clear to Harvick to get the victory.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Harvick had 10/1 odds to win this race, which means a $100 wager on Harvick to win entering the race will pay out an additional $1,000.
Harvick finished ahead of Kasey Kahne and Johnson. With Johnson’s third-place finish, he put a lot of space between he and Matt Kenseth in the point standings. Kenseth finished 23rd on Sunday, which means Johnson has a 28-point lead on him entering the final race of the season next week.
