Johnson wins again

FORT WORTH, TX (TheSpread) – Jimmie Johnson got his second straight victory on Sunday, as he won the AAA Texas 500 in a competitive race.

Johnson battled with Brad Keselowski at the end of the race, as each men led late, but Johnson managed to get the lead on a green-white-checkered finish, while Keselowski came in second.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Johnson had 5/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $500.

The win for Johnson extended his lead over Keselowski in the point standings, as the two are the only logical contenders for the Sprint Cup title with two races remaining. Johnson now leads Keselowski by 7 points in the standings. Clint Bowyer is a distant third, 36 points out. He finished sixth in Sunday.
