According to oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, Stewart had odds of 10/1 to win the race before the event, meaning a $100 bet on Johnson to win will pay out $1,000.

Stewart led just 37 laps of the race, but led when it count to win his fifth event of the 2009 season and jump to fourth in the points standings, 67 behind leader Mark Martin.

Jeff Gordon finished in second place on Sunday, but never led the race. Gordon’s finish pushed him to seventh in the standings.

Greg Biffle, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top five.

Pre-race favorite Jimmie Johnson finished ninth on the day to remain in second in the standings, while Martin finished seventh to maintain the lead in the standings.
