Rock & Roll 400 Picks

We’ll be treated to night racing once again this Saturday when NASCAR rolls into Richmond International Raceway for the Chevy Rock & Roll 400.

As if night racing wasn't exciting on its own, this is the final chance for drivers to lock in a spot for NASCAR's Chase for the Championship.

Bet the 2009 Chevy Rock & Roll 400
It’s do or die time for a few drivers thanks to last week’s race, which really scrambled the standings and those drivers who looked like they were a lock to make the chase now find themselves in real trouble.
One driver we think who is in real danger of missing the chase is Kyle Busch. Busch has his work cut out for him this week and is in a must win situation, which isn't good since he has shown all year he tends to get frustrated and throws in the towel when things aren’t going well for him. If Kyle has the car to win then watch out, but we are going to stay away from him this week and hope he self-destructs like he has many times before.
Denny Hamlin 7/1
Denny Hamlin secured a spot in the Chase with his finish at Atlanta, so this week he can go for it at his favorite track and not worry about falling out of the chase. Hamlin grew up near Richmond International Raceway and knows this track as well as any driver in NASCAR. Though he has never won at Richmond in this series, he should have a few times if not for lots of bad racing luck. Last week, Hamlin recorded his fifth consecutive top 10 since winning at Pocono and we look for him to keep the great run going and grab his first cup win at Richmond Saturday Night.
Tony Stewart 9/1
Tony Stewart is also locked into the chase and has nothing to lose so look for him to let it all hang out to try to pickup the last bonus point for winning Saturday's race. In his last 11 races at Richmond, Stewart has only finished outside of the top 10. With nothing to lose, we look for Stewart to relax and let it all hang out.

Live Longshot
Dale Earnhardt Jr. 18/1
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and his team have started to show signs of life after making a crew chief change awhile back and this team is just too good not to get a win sooner or later. Earnhardt, Jr. has run well here in the past, picking up three wins and he has a very good average finish of 11.9 in twenty starts at Richmond. With the improvement lately and running on a track that he is fond of, we wouldn't be surprised to see Dale Earnhardt Jr. back in victory lane Saturday night.
