According to oddsmakers, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Jimmie Johnson are the favorites to win the race, as each has 8/1 odds to win. Jeff Gordon also has short odds, with 9/1 odds to win.

Busch is currently tied for the points lead with Johnson. He has four wins and 13 top 5’s on the year, which are most of any driver. Edwards is fourth in the point standings, 35 points out of first. He has one win and 10 top 5’s on the year. Edwards has two wins at Atlanta and an average finish of 12.5. His driver rating is 91.7, which ranks eighth in the series.

Gordon is sixth in the point standings. He is 48 points out of first. He has two wins and eight top 10’s on the year. Gordon has five wins at Atlanta in his career and his average finish is 11.7. His driver rating at the track is 97.6, which ranks third in the series.
