Pure Michigan 400 odds

BROOKLYN, MI (TheSpread) – The 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway for a second time as the Pure Michigan 400 runs on Sunday.

According to oddsmakers, Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards are the favorites to win the race with 7/1 odds. Four other drivers come in with 8/1 odds to win.

Edwards is tied with Kyle Busch for the lead in the Sprint Cup standings. Edwards has one win and 10 top 5’s on the year. Edwards has two wins at MIS with nine top 5’s. His average finish at the track is 6.2 and his driver rating is 110.8, which is best of any driver in the series.

Johnson is third in the point standings, six points out of the lead. He has one win and 8 top 5’s on the year. He has never won at Michigan International Speedway, but has two top 5’s there. His average finish at the track is 15.8 while his driver rating is 105.3, which ranks third amongst current drivers.
