WATKINS GLEN, NY (TheSpread) – Marcos Ambrose was the favorite to win the Finger Lakes 355 for a reason, as he ended up the victor on Sunday, edging Brad Keselowski for the victory.

View Current NASCAR Odds

Keselowski looked like he would be the winner late in the race, but the two had a real battle on the final lap, bumping cars on a few occasions. But, when it was all said and done, Ambrose managed to get ahead of Keselowski and get his first win of the season.

According to oddsmakers, Ambrose had 4/1 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $400.

The win for Ambrose only pushes him to 17th in the point standings, but the win helps his chances in the wild card race, as another victory might get him into the Chase.

Keselowski moved to fifth in the point standings, 44 points behind new leader, Jimmie Johnson, who took third on Sunday. Former points leader, Dale Earnhardt Jr., fell to fourth in the standings after finishing 28th on Sunday.
