Camping World RV Sales 301 Picks
LOUDON, NH (ATS CONSULTANTS) – The NASCAR Sprint Cup series competes at New Hampshire Motor Speedway today for the Camping World RV Sales 301. Here are some drivers to consider.
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jimmie Johnson is the clear favorite to win, as he has 5/2 odds. Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch each have 7/1 odds.
Here are the drivers we like:
Gordon is the points leader for a reason, because he is getting himself in position to win most races. He has finished in the top 10 in four of his last five and placed in the top 15 in seven straight. Gordon starts 11th today at a track where he already has three wins and a driver rating of 109.2, which is the second best of any driver in the series.
Hamlin is coming off a sixth-place finish last week, which he was in need of. He hasn’t been very consistent, but clearly has the talent. He has one win this year and a pair of wins in exhibition races. Hamlin starts third today at a track where he has won twice and has an impressive average finish of 9.0. His driver rating at New Hampshire is 102.9, which puts him fourth amongst today’s drivers.
Live Long Shot
Allmendinger hasn’t exactly been great as of late, as he has been 20th or worse in eight straight races. However, he has shown glimpses of strong driving during the season and he is coming to a track that has been one of his better ones. In 2011 he finished 12th and in 2010 he placed 10th. He knows how to get around here and can do well if he stays out of trouble. He will start 20th today.
