DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Only 112 laps were completed of the Coke Zero 400 on Sunday, but that worked out fine for Aric Almirola, who got the win in the rain-shortened race.

This event was supposed to take place on Saturday night, but rain pushed it back to Sunday afternoon. Rain continued to be an issue and one last rain storm stopped the race after 112 laps with Almirola leading and Brian Vickers in second.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Almirola had 60/1 odds to win this race coming into the week, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $6,000.

Jeff Gordon stays on top of the point standings by 27 points over Dale Earnhardt Jr. Gordon finished 12th on Sunday while Earnhardt Jr. finished 14. Almirola jumped to 21st in the standings with the win, but he is just one of 11 drivers with a win this season, which could likely put in him the Chase for the Championship.
