Sargento 200 Odds

ELKHART LAKE, WI (TheSpread) – The 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to a road course in Wisconsin on Saturday for the running of the Sargento 200.

This event is in just its third year and is a road course race, which brings out some specialist drivers that don’t normally compete in the series. Oddsmakers have Kurt Busch as the favorite in this race, as he has 5/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Ron Fellows (4/1) and Jacques Villeneuve (6/1).

Busch has competed in eight Nationwide races this year. He has four top 5’s and seven top 10’s, but no victories. Busch has won four times in 20 career Nationwide races.

Fellows is a road specialist. He has not competed in a Nationwide race this year. He has driven in 17 Nationwide races in his career, winning two of them. Both wins were on road courses.

Villeneuve is also a road specialist. He has not competed in the series yet this year. In his career, he has driven in 7 Nationwide races and has no wins with three top 5’s.
