Dale Jr. ends his drought

BROOKLYN, MI (TheSpread) – Dale Earnhardt Jr. finally snapped his winless streak on Sunday afternoon as he came out as the victor of the Quicken Loans 400.

It had been 143 races and four years since Earnhardt Jr. last won a Sprint Cup Series race. Not only did he get the victory, but he dominated the race and ran away with the checker flag, winning by over 5 seconds.

According to oddsmakers, Earnhardt Jr. had 12/1 odds to win, which means a $100 wager on Dale Jr. to win will pay out an additional $1,200.

Tony Stewart came in second for the race while Matt Kenseth found himself in third and Greg Biffle landed in fourth place.

Kenseth moves into the top of the point standings, 4 points ahead of Dale Jr. in second. Biffle remains in third place, 17 points out of first place.
