BROOKLYN, MI (TheSpread) – Jimmie Johnson continued his recent hot streak on Sunday, claiming the Quicken Loans 400 victory for his third win in four weeks.

Kevin Harvick appeared to have the best car throughout the race, but couldn’t put himself in position to get ahead of Johnson by the time the race concluded. Harvick finished second, while Johnson cruised to the win on the final lap.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Johnson had 7/1 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $700.

The win pushes Johnson all the way up to second in the point standings. He is now 15 points behind teammate Jeff Gordon for first. Gordon finished sixth on Sunday. Harvick jumped up three spots to ninth place, 90 points out of first.
