Back-2-Back Hamlin

Denny Hamlin won his second straight NASCAR Sprint Cup race on Sunday as he was victorious in the 2010 Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com gave Hamlin 7/1 odds to win Sunday’s race, meaning a bet of $100 on Hamlin will pay out $700.

The win on Sunday is his fifth of the year, two more than any other driver in the series. Hamlin was one of few cars that looked to contend for the win, as he started to pull away late after passing Kurt Busch midway through. A late caution flag gave Kasey Kahne a chance to contend with Hamlin, but Kahne couldn’t keep up and Hamlin won with ease.

Kahne settled for second place while Busch finished in third place. Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart finished out the top five while pre-race favorite, Jimmie Johnson came in sixth place.
