LONG POND, PA (TheSpread) – Dale Earnhardt Jr. got a little luck on Sunday and emerged as the winner of the Pocono 400.

A caution came out late in the race, forcing a restart with 12 laps to go. Brad Keselowski got a good jump on the restart and stayed ahead of Earnhardt Jr., but Keselowski got debris on his grill, which caused his car to overheat. He ended up giving up the lead to Dale Jr., who coasted to victory.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Earnhardt Jr. had 12/1 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on him to win will pay out an additional $1,200.

The win is Earnhardt’s second of the year and propels him to third in the point standings, 22 points out of first. Keselowski moves to fifth with his finish, 50 points out of first place. Jeff Gordon remains in first by 16 points after finishing eighth on Sunday.
