This race is simply a 40-lap sprint to the finish where the top two will advance to the All-Star Race. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Martin Truex Jr. is the favorite to win this race, as he has 19/10 odds to win, while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has 5/1 odds.

Truex Jr. won this event back in 2007 and 2010. Truex Jr. is currently 14th in the NASCAR point standings, 122 points out of first. He is winless on the year and has two top 5s.

Stenhouse Jr. has never won this event and he currently sits 16th in the point standings. He is 141 points outside of first place. Stenhouse Jr. is winless on the year and has yet to record a top-10 finish.
