Harvick wins Toyota Owners 400

RICHMOND, VA (TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick used a late caution flag to pick up a big victory on Saturday night, as he ended up as the winner of the Toyota Owners 400.

View Current NASCAR Odds

Juan Pablo Montoya was leading late into the race, but a wreck forced the drivers into a green-white-checkered finish. That opened the door for Harvick to get a strong push to the front and hold off Clint Bowyer and company for the victory. Harvick led just three laps in the entire race.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Harvick had 12/1 odds to win Saturday’s race, which means a $100 wager on him to win will pay out an additional $1,200.

The victory for Harvick is his first of the season. It pushes him up to ninth place in the standings, 72 points outside of first. Jimmie Johnson increased his lead in the point standings to 43 by placing 12th. Carl Edwards moved into second place by finishing sixth on Saturday.
