Logano wins in Texas

FORT WORTH, TX (TheSpread) – Joey Logano had a strong start to his week, as he picked up a win in the Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway.

Logano led 108 laps on the day, including the final one, besting Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch for the victory. It was his first win of the season.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Logano had 8/1 odds to win this race, which means a wager of $100 on Logano to win will pay out an additional $800.

The win pushed Logano to fourth place in the standings, he is now 24 points behind Gordon for first place. Gordon holds a 4-point lead on Matt Kenseth, thanks to his second-place finish. Kenseth finished 7th on Monday. Dale Earnhardt Jr. dropped to sixth in the standings, 31 points out of first after finishing dead last in this race.
