Kenseth vs. Harvick
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Matt Kenseth will be starting up front in the Kobalt Tools 400 on Sunday, but will he have enough to beat Kevin Harvick?
According to oddsmakers at online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com Kenseth is favored to win this matchup with odds of -155 while Harvick has been given a betting line of +125.
While Kenseth has the pole position, Harvick will start 29th in the race.
Kenseth has two wins at Las Vegas in his career with an average finish of 11.7 and a driver rating of 95.6, which ranks eighth in the series. His average running position at Vegas is 15.6. Kenseth has yet to finish in the top 10 of any of the two Sprint Cup races.
Harvick has never won at Las Vegas but he does have three top 5’s. His average finish at this track is 12.8 and his driver rating is 94.7, which is ninth best of any driver. His average running position is 12.6, which ranks sixth. Harvick finished fourth last week and 42nd in the Daytona 500.
The stats say Kenseth is the way to go on Sunday, but Harvick seems poised to have a good outing as he is still making up for his DNF at Daytona. Kenseth may have the front spot, but that hasn’t led to any great success thus far.
