Kevin Harvick Daytona 500 Odds
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Kevin Harvick has a new number this year, but will the change lead to a second Daytona 500 victory?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Harvick is one of six drivers that are all favored to win Sunday’s race, as he has 10/1 odds to finish first. Harvick is seeking his first Daytona 500 victory since 2007. After spending his career with Richard Childress Racing, Harvick is now driving for Stewart-Haas Racing as the No. 4.
Harvick will be starting near the back, in 38th position on Sunday. It is his worst starting position in the Daytona 500. His previous worst was 34th, but he ended up winning that one, so perhaps the bad start is a good thing.
Harvick is competing in his 13th Daytona 500. He has finished in the top 10 six times in his career, but has finished 42nd in two of the last three years. When it comes to Daytona International Speedway, Harvick has two wins there in his career and his average finish at the track is 16.0. Despite that, his driver rating at Daytona is just 82.3, which ranks 12th amongst current drivers.
