Busch vs. McMurray Daytona Odds
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Kyle Busch has the top driver rating of the field for the Daytona 500, but hasn’t won. Can he best a former winner in Jamie McMurray this Sunday?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Busch is favored to win this matchup, as he has been given odds of -135 to do so, while McMurray has a money line of +105 to prevail. The Daytona 500 will be held this Sunday from Daytona International Speedway at 1:30PM ET.
Busch is competing in his 11th Daytona 500 on Sunday. He has not had the best results in this race, placing outside the top 10 the last three years with only one top 5, which came in 2008. Despite that, he has a driver rating of 96.2 at the track, which is nearly five points better than the next-best driver in the field. Busch will start fourth on Sunday.
McMurray is competing in his 13th Daytona 500. He was the 2010 winner, but that race appears to be an anomaly for him, as he hasn’t finished in the top 10 in any other appearance. He was 14th last year, which was his second-best finish. McMurray has a driver rating of 80.2 at the track and will start 15th on Sunday.
