Budweiser Duel 1 Odds
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (TheSpread) – Before the Daytona 500 can take place, the field must be set in the Budweiser Duels. Here is a look at the odds to win the first duel race. The Budweiser Duels are a pair of races featuring half of the Daytona 500 field in each race. Outside of the two pole sitters, the Daytona 500 field will be set according to the order of finish in these races. In the first duel, the order will lineup on the left on Sunday, and the second duel will lineup the right side. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick are the favorites to win the first duel, as each has a money line of +450. Dale Earnhardt Jr. also has short odds, as he has odds of +500 to win. Stewart is a three-time winner of the Budweiser Duels, including last year. He will start third in Thursday’s race. Stewart has 47 career victories in his Sprint Cup career. Harvick has never won a duel race. He will start 13th on Thursday. Harvick is a former Daytona 500 winner and he won the Sprint Unlimited last weekend. He has a total of 19 Sprint Cup wins in his career. Earnhardt Jr. is a three-time duel winner. His last victory came in 2008. Dale Jr. will start sixth on Thursday. He is a former Daytona 500 winner and he has a total of 19 career Sprint Cup victories in his career.
