Kasey Kahne Win Total Odds
(TheSpread) – Kasey Kahne has a new look and a new team for the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series but will the change lead to victories?
Oddsmakers at online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have given Kahne over/under odds of 1.5 victories in 2011. In order for the wager to be official, Kahne must race in 33 races this season.
Kahne is in a transition year as he left Richard Petty Motorsports at the end of last season and will race for Red Bull Racing this year before joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2012.
Last year, Kahne finished 20th in the 2010 Sprint Cup Series and didn’t have a victory. In his career, Kahne has 11 wins in seven full-time seasons.
In 2009 and 2008 Kahne had two wins in both seasons and his career-best is six wins, which he had in 2006.
I think this could be a tough year for Kahne. In a way, he is a driver without an identity. He is will Red Bull this year, but they know he is leaving, so they don’t have to be too devoted to him if things fall apart early. His equipment probably won’t be up to par compared to other mainstream drivers this year as well. My gut says Kahne will go winless again and certainly in my opinion, will not win two races in 2011.
