Updated Sprint Cup Title Odds

2013-johnson03-360

(TheSpread) – The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season will officially start a week from today. Here is a look at the latest odds to win this season’s Sprint Cup Championship.

View Current NASCAR Odds

This season sees some dramatic new changes to the Chase for the Championship format. Instead of 12 drivers, 16 will qualify this season. Also, instead of all 12 battling it out over 10 races, drivers will be eliminated every three races until just four remain in the final race, with the top finisher of the four earning the season-long title.

According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Jimmie Johnson is still the favorite to win the 2014 title, as he has 5/2 odds. Other short odds to win are Kyle Busch (7/1) and Matt Kenseth (15/2).

Johnson is a six-time Sprint Cup champion and he is coming off a title last season. He has finished in the top 5 of the standings 11 of the last 12 years.

Busch has never won the Sprint Cup title, but he is a regular race winner in the series. He is coming off a fourth-place finish in the standings last season, which is his best-career finish.

Kenseth is a one-time series champion, back in 2003. He finished second last season for his top finish since 2006.

The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season begins on Sunday, Feb. 23 with the running of the Daytona 500. For a complete look at the odds to win the 2014 Sprint Cup Championship, see below.
