Keselowski’s 2015 Sprint Cup Odds
LAS VEGAS, NV (TheSpread) – Brad Keselowski is no stranger to controversy and attention, but will that attention hamper his chances to win a NASCAR Sprint Cup title in 2015?
Keselowski ended up fifth in the point standings in 2014 and was just outside the final four in the Chase for the Championship. Keselowski had a series-best six wins in 2014 to go along with 17 top 5s. Toward the end of the season, Keselowski made a few enemies, getting into scuffles with Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Keselowski has been given odds of 7/1 to claim the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship. He is odds are fourth-shortest of any driver, sitting behind favorite Jimmie Johnson (5/1), Jeff Gordon (6/1) and Kevin Harvick (6/1).
Keselowski surprised many people when he won the championship back in 2012, but he followed that up by finishing 14th in 2013. He finally got back on track last year and seemed to be one of the top contenders to win it all, but the new Chase format really hurt him. If going by the old format, Keselowski may have very well won the championship. The key will again be for a win or two early, and then strong driving over the final 10 races while not making too many enemies.
