LOS ANGELES (AP) The Dodgers have agreed to a one-year deal with pitcher Joe Wieland, avoiding arbitration.
The 25-year-old right-hander spent most of last season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, with a 10-5 record and a 4.59 ERA in 22 appearances. He made two starts for the Dodgers, allowing eight runs on 10 hits in 8 2/3 innings.
In 11 career big league games, Wieland is 1-5 with a 5.85 ERA.
He was selected by Texas in the fourth round of the 2008 draft and made his major league debut in 2012 with San Diego.
The team announced the deal Tuesday.
