MIAMI (AP) -Left-hander Dan Meyer was claimed off waivers Monday by the Florida Marlins after going 0-4 with an ERA of 7.48 in 11 games this year with the Oakland Athletics.
Meyer started four games for the A’s. He went 10-5 with a 4.48 ERA with Triple-A Sacramento in 22 games, including 20 starts.
He has played parts of three seasons in the majors with Atlanta and Oakland. He’s 0-6 lifetime with an ERA of 7.63 in 19 games, including seven starts.
Meyer was a first-round draft choice by the Atlanta Braves in 2002.
