CHICAGO (AP) -The White Sox shuffled their coaching staff Friday, letting third-base coach Razor Shines go and reassigning bullpen coach Art Kusnyer within the organization.
Shines managed in the White Sox’s minor league system for six years before he was hired as third-base coach last October. The 61-year-old Kusnyer was the team’s bullpen coach for the last 11 years – a position he also held from 1980 to 1987.
The rest of the staff will remain intact, the team said. Pitching coach Don Cooper, hitting coach Greg Walker, bench coach Joey Cora, first base coach Harold Baines and bullpen catcher Mark Salas were retained.
Two years after winning the World Series, the White Sox went 72-90.
