ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Former catcher Jim Sundberg was hired Wednesday by the Texas Rangers as executive vice president of communications and public relations on Wednesday.
Sundberg, whose career with the Rangers began in 1974 and spanned 16 years, was a three-time AL All-Star. He became the Rangers' catching coordinator in 2002 and was executive director to the president in 2004.
