ST. LOUIS (AP) -Troy Glaus of the St. Louis Cardinals strained his right shoulder, presumably on a strikeout in the third inning, and was taken out of Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago Cubs.
Glaus also flied out in the first inning and is 3-for-39 against Cubs pitching this season. Felipe Lopez moved from second base to third and Aaron Miles went to second base and batted second in Glaus’ place.
Glaus had one fielding chance, leaping to make the catch on a liner by Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster to end the top of the second.
