TORONTO (AP) -The Blue Jays activated outfielder Brad Wilkerson off the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and recalled right-hander Shaun Marcum, outfielder Kevin Mench, right-hander Scott Richmond, catcher Curtis Thigpen and right-hander Brian Wolfe from Triple-A Syracuse.
Wilkerson injured his left shoulder diving for a ball in the outfield last month and has been missing time ever since. He began a rehab assignment at Class A Dunedin last week and batted .455 with one homer and one RBI in three games.
Wilkerson began the season with Seattle but was released April 30 and signed with Toronto on May 9. He is batting .219 with three homers and 26 RBIs in 93 games.
Marcum, 8-6 with a 3.60 ERA in 22 starts, was sent to Syracuse Aug. 23 after going 3-2 with a 6.19 ERA in seven starts since coming off the disabled list July 22. He had missed 27 games with a sore elbow.
Mench was traded from Texas to Toronto for cash on May 9 and has appeared in 42 games with the Blue Jays, batting .253 with nine RBIs. He was optioned to Syracuse Aug. 25.
Richmond went 0-2 with a 5.06 ERA in three starts for Toronto earlier this season before being optioned to Syracuse Aug. 15.
Thigpen appeared in four games for Toronto in May and June, going 1-for-6 with no home runs or RBIs.
Wolfe went 0-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 17 games this season, but also missed 45 games with a right triceps injury.
