ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -The Texas Rangers recalled catcher Taylor Teagarden and infielder German Duran on Monday, the first day of roster expansion.
Teagarden played two games with the Rangers in July and hit one homer in six at-bats. In 73 combined games at Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Oklahoma, Teagarden hit .211 with nine home runs and 23 RBIs.
This is Duran’s second stint with the Rangers this season. Duran batted .225 with three home runs and 11 RBIs in 43 games with Texas before being optioned to Oklahoma on July 20.
Rangers manager Ron Washington said left-hander Bill White will be recalled from Class-A Bakersfield on Tuesday.
