ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -The Angels recalled Triple-A pitchers Jason Bulger and Rich Thompson on Saturday, and put Chris Resop onto the 60-day disabled list to make room on the day rosters expanded to 40 players.
Bulger, 28-year-old right-hander, was 0-0 in two games with the Angels last season. He posted a 5-2 record in 49 games with Salt Lake this season.
Thompson, a 23-year-old right-hander, split the season between Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, Double-A Arkansas and Salt Lake, with a combined record of 3-3.
Resop was 0-0 in four games for the Angels this season.
