PHOENIX (AP) -The Los Angeles Dodgers sent rookie Clayton Kershaw to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday but said he is still scheduled to take his turn in the rotation next week.
In a corresponding move, the Dodgers purchased the contract of lefty reliever Scott Elbert from Double-A Jacksonville. Elbert was 4-1 with a 2.40 ERA in 25 games, including one start, at Jacksonville.
The left-handed Kershaw is 2-5 with a 4.56 ERA in 16 starts. He’s expected to return to the Dodgers to start Tuesday against San Diego.
