CINCINNATI (AP) -Catcher David Ross was activated by the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday, 15 days after he went on the disabled list with a concussion.
Ross took the spot of catcher Ryan Jorgensen, who was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
Ross was hurt in a home plate collision with San Diego’s Mike Cameron on Aug. 13. He went on the disabled list a day later.
Javier Valentin, one of the Reds’ top pinch-hitters, did most of the catching while Ross was sidelined.
