MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -The Twins placed left-hander Dennys Reyes on the 15-day disabled list because of an inflamed pitching elbow and recalled catcher Chris Heintz from Triple-A Rochester.
Heintz was to report for Sunday's finale of a four-game series in Baltimore, the Twins said.
In 48 games with Rochester this season, Heintz batted .275 with one home run and 15 RBIs. He appeared in 13 games with the Twins from April 11-June 28, batting .240 with five RBIs.
