 CINCINNATI (AP) -Reliever Todd Coffey was optioned to Triple-A Louisville on Saturday, a day after he rejoined the Cincinnati Reds from the minors.
The move opened a roster spot for right-hander Matt Belisle, who was promoted from Louisville to start against the Florida Marlins on Saturday night.
The Reds called up Coffey on Friday after starter Bobby Livingston when on the 15-day disabled list because of a shoulder injury. Coffey didn't appear in a 5-3 victory over the Marlins.
The right-hander was is 2-1 with a 6.04 ERA in 48 games over three earlier stints with the Reds this season.
