SAN DIEGO (AP) -Houston Astros slugger Carlos Lee left Saturday night's game against the San Diego Padres with a strained right hip flexor. He was listed as day to day.
Lee might have been hurt when he slid hard at shortstop Khalil Greene to break up a double play in the first inning on a grounder by Mike Lamb.
Lee was replaced by pinch-hitter Mark Loretta in the third inning. Chris Burke moved from second base to take over for Lee in left field and Loretta remained in the game at second.
