TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -New York Yankees pitcher Carl Pavano allowed two homers and five runs over 4 1-3 innings in his second rehab start with Double-A Trenton on Tuesday night.
Pavano, trying to come back from reconstructive elbow surgery, gave up seven hits, hit two batters and walked none. He threw 80 pitches and got the decision in the Thunder’s 6-2 loss to the Bowie Baysox.
Pavano last pitched in the majors in April 2007. He has made only 19 starts since signing a four-year contract worth nearly $40 million with the Yankees in 2005.
