PHILADELPHIA (AP) -The Florida Marlins activated catcher Matt Treanor from the disabled list before Wednesday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Another catcher, Paul Hoover, was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque to make room for Treanor, who had been sidelined since July 8 with a strained hip.
Treanor was batting .240 with two homers and 18 RBIs. Hoover hit .200 (8-for-40).
